I have been working with photoshop for about four years now, and am starting to get the hang of it. I did take a course in photoshop
at the university a few years ago but it was just a teaser.
As for cameras I recently purchased an 8 megapixel Olympus C8080 which is a huge improvement over the very frustraiting Nikon
digital which I gave to my son. I still have my match needle Nikkormat with an f1.4 50mm lens and a 600mm mirror lens.
For zone system work I have retained a Graphic Press with a
roll film back. I can scan negs and slides to 1200 dpi which is ok for large format but sucks for 35mm. I would like to get at
least a four megapixel scanner for 35mm. Hopefully we will soon see 6 and 8 megapixel scanners.
If you are interested in doing zone system work, there are some good sites on the web. I recommend Zuber Photographics at
Zubber Photographics. I could go into detail about the system, but there are
many great sites out there that do a better job of it than I could. They have some very helpful downloads for photoshop.
